Today’s post-modern culture is frequently reluctant to commit to anything. Many shy away from official membership, commitment and “joining” anything. However, the Bible states that the church is the body of Christ, “fitly joined together.” (Ephesians 4:6) Everyone is welcome to attend FTC’s services and events at any time. As God leads each individual, commitment will take you from being “attenders” to being fully committed members. The benefits of being a member are many –  however the most important is for every family to have a spiritual covering.

What we believe.

We believe in ONE GOD, and that his name is Jesus Christ. Because the Bible says: “Jesus Christ…this is the true God and eternal life.” 1 John 5:20

We believe in SALVATION BY GRACE, through faith in Jesus Christ. Because the Bible says: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not yourselves: it is the gift of God.” Ephesians 2:8

We believe in REPENTANCE AND BAPTISM in the name of Jesus Christ. Because the Bible says: “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.” Acts 2:38

We believe in the infilling of the HOLY GHOST with the evidence of SPEAKING IN TONGUES.  Because the Bible says: “and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost… for the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even many as the Lord our God shall call.” Acts 2:38, 39

We believe and preach that the believer should LIVE IN HOLINESS. Because the Bible says: “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man can see the Lord.” Hebrews 12:14

We SING JOYOUSLY AND CLAP OUR HANDS. Because the Bible says: “O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with a voice of triumph.” Psalm 47:1

We believe in the power of God for THE HEALING OF THE SICK. Because the Bible says: “they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Mark 16:18

We believe in the RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD AND JUDGMENT. Because the Bible says: “And I saw a great white throne…And I saw the dead, small and great stand before God;…and they were judged every man according to their works…And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation  20:11-15

We believe that JESUS CHRIST WILL RETURN SOON FOR HIS CHURCH. Because the Bible says: “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” 1 Thessalonians 4:17

The Journey is the class series where we connect our visiting friends to the simple message of God’s love and to his plan of salvation.  Many have questions about the meaning of being “born again” and about the importance of water baptism. Others wonder how their life can “get back on the right track.”

God’s message is simple.  We are all sinners and are in desperate need of a savior.  God came to earth in the person of Jesus Christ to die for our sins.  This does not require perfection on our part; it requires that we believe and receive his grace.   Jesus is not seeking perfect people; he is seeking sinners who will voluntarily repent and learn his ways.  Once a person genuinely repents of their sins, they are baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of those sins. (Acts2:38)

One day Jesus responded to a group of religious people who struggled to understand his message of unconditional love.  They complained that he sat down to eat with sinners.  His answer: “Go and learn what this means: I desire mercy [that is, readiness to help those in trouble] and not sacrifice and sacrificial victims. For I came not to call and invite [to repentance] the righteous (those who are upright and in right standing with God), but sinners (the erring ones and all those not free from sin).” – Matthew 9:13 Amplified Version

It’s not that complicated:  Repent, be baptized and live for God through the power of the Holy Spirit!
